Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts;
I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
[8] Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it?
Ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me?
Yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning?
I the LORD, the first, and with the last;
I am he.

Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know?
and beforetime, that we may say, He is righteous?
yea, there is none that sheweth, yea, there is none that declareth, yea, there is none that heareth your words.

Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens,
and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth,
and that which cometh out of it;
he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee;
and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:
when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:
I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
v21 This people have I formed for myself;
they shall shew forth my praise.

Lift up your eyes on high,
and behold who hath created these things,
that bringeth out their host by number:
he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might,
for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
